From there, images of the other bank slowly emerged.

What do a river and space have in common? They share the world with man at least. Let the one who always throws a stone into the water cast the first stone. It’s good to break this tension [surface] – it is easier to see something then. The reason why I photographed the water surface of all the rivers and streams in the city of Poznan was a fragile vessel fished out in 1950 from the southern bank of Czapnica – called the „Treasure of Czapury”. A romantic idea of water, under the mirror of which the unknown is hidden. Unpredictability, immediacy and a certain irregularity/regularity resulting from the use of a Polaroid camera and films dedicated to it – allowed me to let it go as it is. There are no treasures, but there are photographs – a bit abstract, a bit dreamlike, a bit cosmic.
Series of 38 Polaroid photographs.
